Josie Simmons lives and works in England. She is in her final year of studying Visual Communication remotely at Falmouth University, initiating a career change in 2021. After dipping her toes into fashion by assisting editorial hair teams at shoots and shows such as London Fashion Week, she felt compelled to explore the wider world of creative media and graphic design. She is passionate about storytelling, and her recent works weave narrative through interactive projects and engaging elements, often using collage and typography as a vessel. Exploring her subject matter through experiences (her own and others) is of utmost importance to the success of Josie’s work. Throughout all projects, she aims to infuse ingenuity into the result.

Imprinted Nostalgia [Remember this?] is a zine exploring the layered memory of Y2K culture through cyanotypes printed on acetate. The book reveals forgotten influences behind the trend as readers interact with transparent pages, using paper inserts to uncover obscured images. Hand-bound with nods to 90s rave and scrapbook aesthetics, it invites reflection on how nostalgia is constructed.
